UJI

Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

This policy explains what information UJI collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the UJI app at app.uji.co.in, this website, and the preview links our customers share.

Who we are

UJI is software for jewellers, built by Rajat Jain and Moksh Jain in India. In this policy, "UJI", "we" and "us" mean the people who run UJI. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and phone number, and those of the people you add to your team.
  • Your business records: everything you put into UJI, such as stock, photos, parties (including GST and PAN where you add them), orders, boards, shows, prices and notes. This is your data. We process it to run UJI for you.
  • Information from preview links: when someone opens a link you share, we record what they give us (their name and phone number, and optionally company, email and a note), the pieces they view and add to their cart, the time, and their country and type of device.
  • Usage and technical data: sign-in times, the actions taken in your account (kept as an activity log), and basic logs that help us keep UJI secure and working.
  • AI requests: what you ask JIA and the photos you send to Studio, along with the answers and images it produces, and how much AI you've used.

How we use it

We don't sell your information, and we don't use your business records for advertising.

  • To provide UJI: store and show your records, run JIA and Studio, deliver preview links and the orders that come through them.
  • To keep your account secure, including sending sign-in links and codes.
  • To charge for UJI and for AI use, and to show you what you've spent.
  • To support you when you ask for help, and to tell you about changes that affect you.
  • To improve UJI, using usage information in a way that doesn't expose your business records to anyone else.

AI and your data

JIA and Studio use AI models from Google (Gemini). To answer a question or make an image, we send the relevant request, records and photos to Google for processing. JIA only reads or changes your records within your own business, and it asks before making changes.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need to run UJI, under their terms for business customers:

  • Google Cloud, which hosts the app and its database.
  • Cloudflare, which stores photos and files and serves this website.
  • Google (Gemini), which processes AI requests for JIA and Studio.
  • SendGrid, which sends our emails, such as sign-in links.

We'll also share information if the law requires it. When you share a preview link, the people who open it see the pieces and details you chose to include.

Cookies

This website doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising. The app uses a small number of essential cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to run preview links.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and business records while your account is open. If you close it, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

Keeping it safe

Each business's data is kept apart, so no other customer can see it. You sign in with a link and code sent to your email, with no passwords to steal, and changes to your records are logged. No system is perfectly secure, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent where we rely on it, and nominate someone to act for you. Write to [email protected] and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

If you're a buyer who opened a preview link, the jeweller who shared it decides how your order is handled. You can contact them, or us, about your information.

Children

UJI is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant.

Contact and grievances

Questions or complaints about your data go to our Grievance Officer, Rajat Jain, at [email protected].
